That's what UNITY001 stands for. Folks around here also call us Deuce One. We're a spiritually grounded community nonprofit rooted in Cullen and Springhill, Louisiana, serving neighbors across the ARK-LA-TEX region. Our motto is simple: care and strength.

We believe in the enduring power of community: neighbors lifting neighbors, shared purpose guiding shared progress, and faith anchoring every step forward. We work to strengthen the bonds that unite us, honor the paths that brought us here, and prepare the way for those who will follow.
Guided by humility and compassion, we serve our seniors with dignity, support individuals with special needs with care, and invest in our youth with unwavering belief in their potential. Central to that work is an education initiative that awards scholarships to students throughout the ARK-LA-TEX region.
We exist not only to gather, but to uplift. Not only to serve, but to inspire. Not only to hope, but to build: one community, one purpose, one united spirit at a time.
The street that raised us
There was something special about Lee Street in Cullen. It wasn't just a road with houses on both sides. It was a village. Every child had more than parents; a whole neighborhood watched over them, corrected them when needed, and reminded them what respect, discipline, and hard work look like.
Elders sat on their porches and greeted every child by name. Teachers saw potential in kids before they could see it in themselves. Coaches taught teamwork and perseverance, lessons that outlasted every season. When one child stumbled, someone was there to lift them up. When one succeeded, the whole block celebrated like the win belonged to everyone. In many ways, it did.
That street produced doctors, teachers, professional ball players, chefs, pastors, musicians, and entrepreneurs. Each of them carries a piece of Lee Street wherever they go.
Walk it today and you can still hear the echoes: the voices of the people who believed in us before we understood the greatness within ourselves. UNITY001 exists to keep that spirit alive and to pass it on.
